Position Overview:

As a Commercial Construction Project Manager at Buquet & LeBlanc Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our commercial projects in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from initial planning to final completion, while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of construction management principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all phases of commercial construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to define project objectives and ensure they are met on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports, and monitor performance against established metrics.
• Procure materials and equipment, negotiate contracts, and oversee the timely delivery and cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety regulations, quality standards, and adherence to project specifications.
• Proactively identify and address any issues, conflicts, or delays that may arise during construction and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
• Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date, including contracts, change orders, and permits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects of varying size and complexity.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on safety and quality.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA certification and familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
